About Astor York

Astor York is set in a beautiful Grade II listed Victorian building, just a 10 minute walk from the historic centre of York. With a large cosy living room with plenty of comfy sofas to relax after a day sightseeing, a fully stocked bar, and two large dining rooms to catch up with fellow travellers, or skype home with the family. All of our rooms are En-suite, there is fast Wifi access throughout the whole building, including in all of the rooms, 24 hour access by Electronic Keycard and breakfast is just £1 with all proceeds going to charity. Astor York can be accessed on foot from York railway station in 10 minutes, or by bus from the town centre.

The hostel is not suitable for children or infants
VALID government issued ID required to stay with us
- Proof of identification must be shown on arrival and can include a passport, driving license and national identity cards. We cannot accept paper driving licences, student or employee IDs as proof of identity and failure to show proof or a copy upon arrival will result in the cancellation of a reservation without a refund. Get in touch with us for further clarification
ALL guests must be between 18-40 YEARS
- Reservations must be made for guests over the age of 18. Any reservations made for those under the minimum age will be cancelled, and you will not receive a refund
Check-in is available between 2 pm and 10 pm (please let us know your arrival time to ensure someone is there to greet you with a masked smile!)
Check-out is between 8 am and 10 am (drop-off box is available for earlier check-outs)
A staff member is available 24 hours a day for emergencies; a number will be provided if you have any issues
Smoking inside the premises is not allowed
When booking for 10 persons or more, different policies and additional supplements will apply

Location

Astor York is located on Holgate Road which is a 10 minute walk from York Railway station. You can also walk into the Historical Town centre in just 10 minutes, or take one of the public buses which stop right outside the hostel’s front door.
